When I look out of the upstairs window I can see the pond and get an idea how heavily the rain is falling.
Its too wet to be outside, I just make a quick dash to pick some parsley for my kedgeree.
The apple trees are full of blossom.
This rain is most welcome as my plants are growing quickly. The delphiniums that I grew from seed are now in their third year and clumping up nicely.
And the citrus blossom in the greenhouse smells wonderful!
Those apple blossoms! You must almost get giddy with the citrus blossom scent in a greenhouse. Mr P & I were driving in Sicily once, in lemon blossom season, & even on an 8-lane motorway with the car windows up, the scent was powerful & delicious!
ReplyDeletePerfume - straight to the senses and to memories!
DeleteApril showers.... If is the loveliest time of the year even if it seems like too much rain. Your arbor, Rosemary, is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThe rain is welcome - as long as it doesn't go on for too long!
DeleteYou really have a very beautiful garden, and the rain was probably very welcome there. At the moment, it is too dry in my area, but colder weather and some rain is forecast from tomorrow onwards.
ReplyDeleteYes, after several hot, dry days it was good to have rain. In an ideal world I would ask for warmth and sunshine throughout the days and a bit of beneficial rainfall overnight!
ReplyDeleteAdorei conhecer o seu jardim, é muito

DeleteYou have a fabulous garden.
ReplyDeleteYour not seeing the weeds, Joyful!
DeleteIs kedgeree a delicious meal?
ReplyDeleteWell I think so! I'm very fond of smoked fish so this recipe is a favourite of mine. It looks colourful and tasty with the yellow and white of the boiled eggs and the green of chopped parsley. Try it and let me know what you think.
