Yorkshire Dales.

We managed to fit in a few walks before we came home, a short stroll up the road with family. (Wee One with cotton wool in her eardrums to keep out the wind!)
Harebells are one of my favourite flowers.
We walked  through the fields down towards the river.
The narrow stiles are tricky for some!
Everywhere looked wonderfully green after the burnt-out summer that we have experienced in the south- west of England.

  1. I would have loved to go on this walk. Lichen covered stones and green green.

    1. It's a very special place for me, Susan, so I shall admit to bias!

    1. We usually walk up on the moor top with far-reaching views, but on this trip the wind was harsh (hence cotton wool in the ear drums!) and we kept to the lower fields.

    1. These walks are full of memories for me, I walked them often with my father. It was the first visit for our grandson, who shares my father's birth date and has been given his name. Just wonderful!

    1. Dear Bonnie, very different, I imagine, to your home environment. I am always sad to leave.
