Good morning, good morning!

What a promising start to the day

This is our second fine day in a row. Yesterday was dry and bright and the electricity supply was turned off for much the day whilst trees were being felled at the edge of the lake.
Himself brought some of the wood home when they had finished work and was busy sawing, splitting and stacking. He was one weary man at the end of the day!
At least he didn't have to be swinging about way up in the air!

  1. We just had our trees trimmed. Watching those men so high up, swinging from ropes, makes my stomach ache.

    1. I was a tree climber as a child and a member of the climbing team as a student so I always feel a little envious when I see the professionals way up in the air!

    1. Would you believe it, Eileen, after such a promising start the day went cold and windy, not fit to be out.

  3. Gorgeous morning shots. I was just thinking about the saying red sky at morn... but, that seemed not the case as your day was fair.

    1. Sadly, Donna, the old shepherd's saying proved right and the day that followed was rather grim.

    1. Hello, JM, It was April Fool's Day and the sunrise certainly had me fooled because after that promising burst of colour it all went cold and grey!

I never watch when the tree trimmer come. Up high swinging power saws, no thanks.

    1. Oh, you're right, Parsnip, up a tree is one thing, up a tree with a big strimmer is quite another!
