Hate to say it

I hate to say it when it is still November but it is starting to look a bit like Christmas! Just a dusting where we live but the temperature is low and I've draped a bit of fleece over the citrus trees.
Leaf sweeping continues but the bulk of leaf fall is over now. It is stir up weekend ahead, time to be mixing mincemeat, stirring the pudding and cake, all great reasons to be busy in the warmth of the kitchen!

  1. Looks beautiful, a great start to the Christmas season.
Those old English traditions of puddings and mince pies, surely stand the test of time, I can smell them across the pond :)

    1. Cold weather certainly gives a good excuse for hot puddings and pies!

  2. I'm thinking seriously of Xmas now. Maybe I'll be stirring up a cake.

  3. That all sounds so good. Even after nearly 60 years here Christmas in summer is just not the same.

    1. Cold weather certainly seems to be appropriate for consuming all the rich, hot food that is on offer all through the Christmas period.

  4. I definitely do NOT hate to say it - there has been a Christmassy feeling around here, with a sprinkle of snow and the trees and lights coming up one by one in public places and private gardens. I love this time of year!

  5. Your garden looks lovely with that light dusting. Long nights, cooler weather, bare trees - it's all looking wintry and therefore Christmassy.

    1. Enough to look nice but not enough to cause problems. That's fine with me!
