Tonight in the garden

Ten per cent bigger,
ten per cent brighter,
the 'blue' moon
seen through a tangle of winter trees.

    1. I was rather disappointed, Tom. By the time the moon had risen above my horizon it looked no more than 10% larger and not the big, swollen affair that I was hoping for. Photos on tv were far more impressive. There was a wonderful one of a HUGE moon looming over Glastonbury Tor.

  3. Beautiful! :) It's snowing madly tonight so the moon was not visible at all, but I still feel the energy! :)

    1. My moon didn't look very big, but I did have the added bonus of hearing an owl hooting!

  4. Too cloudy to see here in Illinois so glad to see your photos. "Once in a Blue Moon" was a favorite saying of my mothers.

  5. Even though it is cloudy here, we did get to see that bright Blue Moon. We have a skylight in our bathroom, and the whole room was lit up.

    Great pictures, Rosemary.

    1. I love the sight of the moon and often wander round the garden in the moonlight. It features quite often in the paintings and carvings that Himself makes.
