Skywatch Friday

It was good to open the bedroom curtains in the morning and see the pearly sunrise that promised some sunshine for the day ahead.
We enjoyed a crisp, cold day here in the south-west of England. Bright sunshine quickly melted the overnight frost.
Pink blossom on the tree echoed the pink of the early morning light. It was a joy to be outside - we were well wrapped up!
And at the end of the day there was a beautiful sunset.
Now it's freezing hard and I've covered some of my plants with protective fleece.
Linking with Friday Skywatch to see beautiful skies from all over the world.

Saturday morning
Today is rather different.
Wishing you a brighter weekend than mine!

  1. Your weather seems to be more mild in the southwest of the country. It is warm enough today for me to be outside in flip flops and short pants. Sigh.

    1. It's chilly, Donna and, as you can see from today's addition, our ration of sunshine seems to be very small!

  2. I love your sunset, with the pink. And it was so good to see green grass again. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

    1. Hello chocolate-lover, how nice of you to leave a comment. I've been over to your blog to take a look. I sat through the inauguration on tv yesterday in disbelief and dismay that such a man is to be the figurehead of your great country. At least he can't be in charge of sunrise and sunsets!

    1. A delight to open the curtains to the promise of sunshine, lady Fi. Look what we've got today! (It's still rather beautiful.)

    1. Hello there, Mac, your 'arty' photos have warmed up my chilly winter a little. No sky to see today as we are covered in mist.

  5. What a beautiful start - and end to your day. Here in Oz it is hot, hot, hot so the thought of frost fills me with envy.

  7. Wonderful photos today.
It is cold today in Tucson (for Tucson) but we had snow in the mountains and sunshine so all is good.
