It's dull and damp here in Blighty, nothing to see but grey sky, so I'm posting photos that I took in Yorkshire last March that have a much more festive look about them; crisp snow with a topping of sparkling frost and a blue sky overhead.
But whether you're in black and white or colour, or even in grey, I hope that all you skywatchers will have a very
HAPPY CHRISTMAS
for Friday Skywatch.
Beautiful shots... both the color and b&w are excellent. Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteAnd a very merry Christmas to you too.
DeleteBeautiful shots and it does look cold.

I much prefer cold, crisp days to the damp, soggy stuff that we have been having for weeks and weeks!
DeleteWhat is it about snow? It's cold and wet and makes walking and driving difficult yet I just love it so much. Beautiful photos. happy Holidays to you Rosemary.
ReplyDeleteI know, I know but I'm a child at heart and love a crisp fall of snow even though it's cold and wet! A very happy holiday to you too, Connie.
DeleteLove the blue sky and white snow!
ReplyDeleteNo sign of either for quite a while!
Deletebeautifully stunning
ReplyDeleteThat was last March, today is dull and damp. Have a very happy Christmas, Wildside and everything good for 2016.
DeleteHa ha, and I already thought: Gosh, they've got snow!!!! Well, maybe you love to hear, that we have spring weather as well here in Switzerland. Might be that they are changing Christmas with Easter. I bet we're going to have lots of snow in March. Take care and have a lovely Christmas time
ReplyDeleteAlex
Yes, isn't the weather strange, I have spring flowers in bloom in the garden; all very topsy-turvy.
DeleteSnow makes such lovely pictures, and I enjoy looking at them when they are taken in some place other than where I live.
ReplyDeleteWe rarely get enough snow for it to be a big problem so it always seems to be rather special when it comes. Not the grey, sleety stuff but the crisp, crunch under your boots variety. Happy Christmas to you, Maybe.
DeleteGreat photos, just lots of rain here. Have a wonderful Christmas holiday.
ReplyDeleteHello Doc and Christmas greetings. Rain - you and me both!
DeleteYou show us some wonderful photos. The weather is far too mild here, temp. upto 16 degr.C. is really not normal for december.
ReplyDeleteWish you a Merry Christmas!
Just the same with us. I usually use the greenhouse attached to the house as an overspill fridge during the Christmas period but doubt that it will be cold enough this year. I'm going to dig out my big freezer carrier and blocks. Wishing you a very happy and festive time, Janneke.
DeleteAnd a very Merry Christmas to YOU!! I am glad to see that I am not alone in using photos from the archives! Don't worry, I won't tell anybody.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you're not going to tell anybody, not even the hundred or so folk who post on your site each week! Friends who read my blog but never leave a comment say that Skywatch Fridays are their favourite posts.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a Happy and festive Christmas and great skies for 2016.
