Friday Skywatch for Christmas

It's dull and damp here in Blighty, nothing to see but grey sky, so I'm posting photos that I took in Yorkshire last March that have a much more festive look about them; crisp snow with a topping of sparkling frost and a blue sky overhead.
But whether you're in black and white or colour, or even in grey, I hope that all you skywatchers will have a very
HAPPY CHRISTMAS

    1. I much prefer cold, crisp days to the damp, soggy stuff that we have been having for weeks and weeks!

  3. What is it about snow? It's cold and wet and makes walking and driving difficult yet I just love it so much. Beautiful photos. happy Holidays to you Rosemary.

  6. Ha ha, and I already thought: Gosh, they've got snow!!!! Well, maybe you love to hear, that we have spring weather as well here in Switzerland. Might be that they are changing Christmas with Easter. I bet we're going to have lots of snow in March. Take care and have a lovely Christmas time

    1. Yes, isn't the weather strange, I have spring flowers in bloom in the garden; all very topsy-turvy.

  7. Snow makes such lovely pictures, and I enjoy looking at them when they are taken in some place other than where I live.

    1. We rarely get enough snow for it to be a big problem so it always seems to be rather special when it comes. Not the grey, sleety stuff but the crisp, crunch under your boots variety. Happy Christmas to you, Maybe.

    1. Just the same with us. I usually use the greenhouse attached to the house as an overspill fridge during the Christmas period but doubt that it will be cold enough this year. I'm going to dig out my big freezer carrier and blocks. Wishing you a very happy and festive time, Janneke.
