I can almost feel cold air and fog as I breathe. There is a smell of hot cider and mulled wine. Christmas carols. Laughter. Church bells. I want to be there.
It was just a quick walk through the market on my way home, but I think I'll go back with my camera and take some more shots. (For next year's Christmas cards, perhaps!)
Thank you for sharing this. I found the FB page for this Christmas Market and enjoyed a few videos too! It's been six years since my one and only visit to Bath and that was summertime. It was lovely to "visit" in winter via your blog and the Bath Christmas Market FB page! All the way from Southern California - a wonderful treat for me.
The Christmas lights in Bath are quite tasteful, not a clash of colours, as elsewhere, and they have also lit some of the buildings to great effect. All I had to do was point and shoot.
Welcome, Louisette. A friend has told me that I can climb to the top of the abbey and look down on the Christmas market from the tower. IF it stops raining tomorrow I shall do just that!
Oh, that's okay then. Here in Blighty the light levels are very low, the weather dull and damp and I'm having weekly physio because I can't turn my neck! But the family will all be here next week so I'm feeling cheerful.
I live with Himself (husband) in the coastal town of Bournemouth in the South-West of England.
