A code in de nose

Master Snotty-Nose started back at school this week and very kindly brought me home a germ from the school playground. I can't remember when I last had a cold but this one is a stinker. I wish the boy would learn to blow his nose properly! In the afternoon I went to bed; fresh sheets, three pillows and the comfort of a hot water bottle. Outside I could see rain through the bedroom window and the trees thrashing about in the strong wind. What an indulgence to be in bed. It was lovely!

  1. I am also getting over a code in de nose, but I don't know where I got it from. I've been taking it easy and drinking tea.
How lovely to be in bed in the afternoon with the rain falling. I hope you feel better soon.

  2. Fresh sheets, just what the doctor ordered. I always reckon I sleep better with fresh sheets. I can just imagine the luxury with the hot water bottle looking at the weather outside. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  4. Germ factories. I was so glad when my grandkids immune systems started functioning and they didn't bring home every little bug.

  6. This blog post made me smile! It's so true how little ones can bring home all sorts of things. But at least you handled it in the best possible way—by having a cozy, restorative afternoon in bed with a hot water bottle. That honestly sounds like a perfect way to recharge, even with a cold.

  7. Booth, I never allow myself the luxury of staying in bed when I feel bad, but you make it sound so divine! Next time I am sick, I shall follow your example. I do hope you are feeling much better now.
