English summer?!!

Sunshine and.... not showers but heavy downpours, thank goodness for a conservatory to shelter in, somewhere to listen to the pounding rain! And I am the woman who was concerned about my overly dry garden. Not at the moment!
Outside everything is looking very lush and green. Grapes are swelling on the archway, I don't know if they will taste any good. Just a meagre picking of beans but the tomatoes are starting to ripen. Come on allotment society, move me further up the waiting list!

  1. We've had a completely wet Sunday, but it is going to warm (and dry) up during the week. Most gardeners are happy about the rain, so is my sister - her allotment has not suffered from her absence while we were in Yorkshire!

    1. Not Sungold but Red Cherry, just starting to colour up, The garden has so much shade that veg growing is proving problematic!

  4. Such a beautiful green lush garden.
It is so burning hot in Tucson that I even moved my potted cactus under the shade. Everything is burning up.

    1. Oh dear, I hope that the weather will soon become kinder for you and for your dear four paws. Misery for them, unable to shed their warm coats.

  6. I think sitting in a conservatory listening to the rain sounds like a lovely way to spend some time with a book. I'd be maintaining a couple of scented geraniums in there to keep me company. I got the idea from a little summerhouse in I think it was Kew - years ago. Trouble is it would be so nice I probably would neglect the gardening when the weather was bad, but of course there is usually something to do no matter what the weather. .

    1. As a child I loved being tucked up in bed when the rain was pounding on the window and it is a similar pleasure to sit in the conservatory or under the verandah when its tipping down! Go on, Jenny, get that summerhouse!
