Saturday half-term
We had sun today, what a treat! We went down to the beach to make the most of it because wind and rain is on the cards for tomorrow. Half the town seemed to have had the same idea as us. It is the half-term holiday so there were lots of families with young children.
The sky was blue and the waves suitably exciting for the few that were jumping into them. I was content just to watch!

A perfect day. My oldest son and his wife are at St. Thomas in the Virginia Islands, and I am green with envy. It looks just about as nice where you are though.
ReplyDeleteAaah! If I were at St Thomas I would definitely be jumping in the waves! Sadly no comparison to be made with Bournemouth.
DeleteIt all looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to be outside. It was busy because I think everyone else felt the same, that they had been couped up inside for too long.
DeleteWonderful to have a beach like that to visit!
ReplyDeleteI always feel good when i get to the coast and have that wonderful sense of light and space.
DeleteVery pretty. I spent a lot of my time growing up on the beach in Galveston an hour's drive. Now where I live it's still an hour's drive away, different beach but still on the Gulf Coast.
ReplyDeleteLots of people out. We didn't walk far but sat on a bench after a while soaking up the sun and people and dog watching!
