I'm with you in spirit! I am off walking along the seafront today...too many rich treats and lots more food than usual...and yes there is New Years Eve up next!
We are just not eating this evening……so much food and sweets this Holiday that to put something more in my stomach would be criminal. Of course that does not apply to my evening glass of scotch.
Happy New Year to you! Love your blogs and will visit more in 2015. We too decided we needed to eat heavy on the vegs tonight and tomorrow and the next day to purge ourselves of all the carbs. YIKES.
We are still hoovering up festive leftovers. 'YIKES' is the word! There will be half a stone to shed in the New Year just to get back to something approaching normal.
I have eaten way too many sweets simply because they are in such plentiful supply in my house. Why, oh why, did I make so many cookies and sweet cakes. My stomach and expanding waist line need a break.
Snap! But Christmas is very special with a house full of folk, and you never know who might pop in so you need a good supply of nice things to hand around. But we are going to be SO disciplined in January, aren't we - Maybe?!
I live with Himself (husband) in the coastal town of Bournemouth in the South-West of England.

Happy Christmas! I need a sensible eating plan!
ReplyDeleteI talk the talk but am not actually walking the walk as the house if full of far too many goodies - it is impossible to resist chocolate!
DeleteHow lovely ! Lucky you.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
I'm rather childlike, Parsnip, I actually get as much enjoyment out of the wooden box and the red velvet ribbon as I do from the contents.

DeleteSensible eating for few days, eh? I usually just let December slide. Look out January. Cheers to a Very Happy 2015, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteDon't believe a word of it, Connie. I'm full of good intentions - and cake, chocolate, nuts, dates etc....!
