This year there has been the most amazing response from all ages throughout the country in commemorating the dead, especially those of the Great War. The field of ceramic poppies at the Tower of London, so visually stunning and yet such a simple concept of one poppy for each person who died, has captured everyone's heart. I don't know whether you have seen any images of it, it is quite spectacular.
