Eagles Palace skywatch

We were in Greece last Friday staying near Mount Athos, seen on the left of the photo with the tower of Ouranapolis just visible on the right. We had stayed at Eagles Palace last year so this was a return visit and we had ample opportunity to sit on our balcony and skywatch. Swallows had built a nest in a corner of the balcony ceiling and there was a great deal of coming and going.
Oh, the joy of being in a warm climate after our long and very wet winter!

This week have been in Cambridge staying with family for a lovely catch-up. Guess what? Splodges on the camera lens - it was raining!

But it takes more than a downpour of rain to spoil Cambridge!

    1. The hotel is perched up high, hence it's name - plenty of opportunity for sky watching!

    1. I trust you had an equally warm and pleasant holiday, Rosemary. Last year we were here so that Himself could visit Mount Athos, something that He had wanted to do since childhood. This year we did nothing more than lie in the sun!

  3. Since I accidentally left the comment for these beautifully done shots on you garden post (oops) I must say your garden is beautiful. And the vegetables are looking pretty good for the conditions. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. We were lucky, apparently the week before had been dull and damp. We arrived at the airport in a rainfall but had left it behind by the time we arrived at the hotel. Phew!

    1. Nice to be welcomed home, Wildside.
Sometime I shall get to Cambridge and photograph it in the sun - punting, picnics etc... Just don't hold your breath!
