Meet Mabel!

At the start of the school Easter holidays we looked after the Boy while his parents went off to buy him a puppy. Why have we been so long without a dog in the house! Well, they came home with the most ridiculous little bundle and it was love at first sight. A boy and his dog - inseparable!
Meet Mabel!
We are all besotted.
On the garden front everything is growing like mad and I'm having to cut back to keep the gravel paths from disappearing. The exterior of the house is awash with icicles of flower.
It is so pleasing to catch the scent of the various flowers.
But it is a bit of a jungle!
There isn't much time for sitting down.
Now that the neighbouring trees are in full leafwe are cast into a mix of deep and dappled shade.
After a very wet winter I'm already back to wishing for some rain!

  1. Mabel is adorable. I wish her a long and happy life.
Your garden is beautiful and clearly keeping you busy. It's quite surprising how little time passes before we're wishing for some rain!

    1. A dog and a boy - the perfect pairing! Now the adults can sit back while the two of them tear about.

  2. Mabel is a sweet new family member!
Your garden must be full of wonderful scents right now. I love to stop and sniff at various blossoms during my walks this time of year.

  3. I would happily live in your glorious jungle! Incredible, the kind one only sees in magazines or on gardening shows.
And Mabel! Be still, my heart. Larry is hankering for a puppy, but we have 2 young dogs already and at 75 it wouldn't be a good idea to add a third. Although, if one comes aling...

    1. I am first reserve for Mabel, a very happy arrangement as we are in our eighties and Himself is not a dog man. I was brought up with dogs so am now VERY happy!
