Flaming June

June is 'flaming' and I love it! It's my favourite month in the garden, especially when the weather is as beautiful as today. The tomato plants are taking over the greenhouse and there's hardly room to sit.
It doesn't matter because we've pulled the garden furniture out of store so now we can sit and eat outside.

All the old favourites are putting on a show.

'Constance Spry'
and 'Gertrude Jekyll.'
Friends came on Sunday and brought this wonderful present,
an Edwardian stand to display my auricle collection.
(Well, some of them!)

  3. Indeed June is the best month in the garden, thank you for showing us your beauties. That Edwardian stand is a great asset to your collection of auricles.

    1. The stand is so well designed because when I water nothing spills onto the plant below. I'm very pleased to have been given it.

  4. OH MY GOODNESS !
You live in paradise. I love your greenhouse. For this desert dweller it is a proper glass greenhouse. If I had that in Tucson it would burn everything inside.
Thank you for posting this today.

    cheers, parsnip and thehamish

    1. In the month of June I tend to agree with you, Parsnip, I does feel like paradise! (Not quite so much in other months!)The small greenhouse off the house has a glass roof and gets delightfully hot. The one off the garage is more accurately a shade house as most of the roof is tiled with just the insert of a few Victorian glass tiles. It works well as the plants don't get over heated.

  5. It really is nice to be able to eat outside. Just brush the crumbs onto the ground! Your garden is so so beautiful.

    1. It's a real treat when we can be out-of-doors and still feel warm.
