A quiet Sunday

Woke this morning, sun shining, no plans to go anywhere, do anything much. All quiet, people in bed. Did my usual early potter round the garden. Looked at the thermometer, everything set fair. Madness in the world but today I have just enjoyed and appreciated the small stuff.

  1. Very wise. I toobtook a potter about the gardens, and left the news turned off. I can't change what happened, although heaven knows I wish I could. The world has gone mad. Led of course by the USA's madman-in-chief.

    1. I laugh whenever I hear Donald Trump talking but he is really no laughing matter. I never thought we would get back to this sort of stupidity.

  2. You have such a lovely peaceful oasis there. As Granny Sue said - very wise.

    1. Yes, I am very lucky to be able to shut out the nastiness and enjoy my own space.

  3. Those of us who have the opportunity to still enjoy life in spite of the madness are fortunate or blessed (depending on which way you like to see it), and I count myself among them.

    1. I think of Saturday's meal at the allotment, all nationalities happily together sharing their food and their customs. That's how our little world should run!

  4. Just enjoy the peace of your beautiful garden!! We actually had a day of rain and I hope my pumpkins will start galloping and green up the garden a little

    1. Galloping pumpkins sound good! We've had a light rainfall and the slugs and snails are out. Hope you don't get any of those pests galloping over your pumpkins!

  5. Thank heavens for gardens and plants and nature and a reminder that life can be lived normally.

  7. Oh how beautiful your gardens are. And yes, amidst all the world's madness, just stick to yourself & your beautiful surroundings...and let the rest of the world go by. ~Andrea xoxo

    1. What a waste all this stupidity is. One small planet, just think what it could be if we all worked together!
