Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment - always fun to meet new blog friends from home.

Loved this post on Cambridge and London - and my dh was interested in the pics and facts of the American WWII Military Memorial. I haven't been to Cam. but spent much time in London when my brother and family lived there - he's now in France! I would love to have time to visit the wonderful galleries in London - unfortunately now it's just a hit and run stop on the way to Heathrow!

Yes, hoping Devon will be warmer by mid-May when I'm home - it was perfect when there during that same month two years ago. I have friends in Somerset - Wellington - and of course we travel through your beautiful county on the way to Devon.

Off now to look through your previous posts where I hope to spy some of your art. For many years I worked in commercial art and advertising so illustration is dear to my heart.

Happy week -MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11915239653283205065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833049860541499858.post-83410004923841671962011-03-07T07:05:47.775-08:002011-03-07T07:05:47.775-08:00Dear Weaver, thank you for your reply. It used to be one of our favourite pubs until some time ago when the chef did a moonlight flit! (He used to make the most delicious puds.) Since then the food has been very hit and miss, so I'm delighted to hear that it is back on form.
I shall be just over the hill in Coverdale before too long, so shall get in touch.Share my Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08817611851604816123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833049860541499858.post-43092134090656952552011-03-07T01:38:23.819-08:002011-03-07T01:38:23.819-08:00You asked where the pub was in the Yorkshire Dales...You asked where the pub was in the Yorkshire Dales - it is in Wensleydale and is called The Queen's Head and is at the village of Finghall.
If you come to this area then do let me know via my blog and perhaps you would have time to call in for a coffee. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833049860541499858.post-83883774377075536182011-03-06T09:14:18.403-08:002011-03-06T09:14:18.403-08:00Dear Connie, and a bit of American interest in thi...Dear Connie, and a bit of American interest in this English posting for you!

I took a load of photos, Cro, and this lengthy blog is the edited version! I passed one by at auction recently and now regret it, even though it was a very skillful fake done by a famous forger in the 1980s - 2000s. Are those real?
