Happy Christmas

This tree may look scrawny but it's much loved. It's been brought into the house and decorated each Christmas Eve for many years now. This summer I bought a larger pot and replenished the soil in an effort to keep the tree alive for more years to come. You may think it bedraggled but we love it! The same old decorations appear and the bonus is that with so few pine needles there is plenty of space to see the decorations. (Yes, I'm a cup half full sort of person!)
Wishing you all, dear Bloggers, a peaceful, joyful Christmas.

  1. This made me laugh Rosemary. I think the tree looks lovely, and to keep inviting an old friend into the house, well, that's what it's all about eh? Best wishes to you and yours from me and mine

    1. 'an old friend' I like that description, Gary, it's very suitable - missing a few needles but still loved!
Wishing you and all your family a happy and healthy 2017.

  2. I love it! Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I am all about sentimentality and what things mean rather than what they look like. My tree is full of family memories and some, though somewhat shabby, mean the world to me. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day.

    1. Dear Maybe, thank you for your good wishes. I think that we are very similar in outlook. Christmas was joyful, with all our small family together under one roof. I'm just about to post the holiday fun.
Best wishes to you for 2017.

  3. I love that you decorate the same live tree year after year. Hope you had a good one. Today will be my list making day as I have much to do or think about doing.

    1. An objective eye would say, 'my, that's a scrawny thing!' but I've never claimed to be objective!

    1. Dear Parsnip, well it's certainly full of beautiful memories because it holds ornaments from when the girls were very small. A battered fairy mouse, now over forty years old, perches from the topmost branch. I'd thought of making a new one, but the idea was met with cries of protest!
